The Canon 50mm f/1.8 II (aka the nifty fifty, aka fantastic plastic) is a massively popular little lens, and since 1990 has been a go to for countless new photographers. Now 25 years later it has finally been updated and we put it to the test, comparing it to the other Canon 50mm, as well as the new gold standard Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art lens.

Choosing the right gear for the road can be a lot of trial and error. Bring too much, and you want to leave your bag in the hotel. Too little and you might miss a great shot. Or is it even possible to bring to little? In this podcast we talk about how a photographer can be prepared and anything they might encounter in their travels.
